Objectives

Cook For Your Life came to Blue Fountain Media seeking a website upgrade that would provide a helpful cooking resource for those touched with cancer. In addition to a new and modern design, Cook For Your Life also sought an increase in interactions on the site in the form of recipe shares, print outs and video views.

Methodology

Before driving any traffic to Cook For Your Life, Blue Fountain Media started work on a non-profit website redesign that would upgrade the site to a full culinary resource center for cancer patients. With the help of a redesigned blog, weekly recipe center, and an instructional video library, the Cook For Your Life website was able to provide site visitors with dozens of new recipes and reasons to return back to site.

After the launch of the new CookForYourLife.org, Blue Fountain Media began search engine optimization and social media marketing campaigns to drive additional traffic to their new resource heavy website. The Cook For Your Life search engine optimization campaign targeted high-volume search terms that were highly relevant to the website like "cancer cooking" and "cooking for cancer". By obtaining page 1 search rankings for these terms and more, Cook For Life's non-branded organic search traffic began to increase at a significant rate.

Cook For Your Life's social media campaign also acted as an additional, significant traffic source. A redesign of their Facebook brand page enabled Cook For Life to closely interact with fans of their content by providing contests, photos and more. By building a network of over 500 Facebook likes, Cook For Your Life was able to build a community around their content and increase engagement with their brand.
