Objectives

The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation came to us with a need to increase online donor registrations and monetary donations. Blue Fountain Media redesigned the organization's website and planned out a Web 2.0-based system to generate massive support.

Methodology

Nearly a month of planning was required to create a complex, user-generated donor registration system for Gift of Life. Every user flow, every page, button, and link needed to thoroughly specified in order for design or development to begin.

Once fully planned out, with wireframes, the Blue Fountain Media design team took on the project, creating mockups of each page. Those were handed off to our development team, who completed the application in time for the Partners for Life Gala 2009, where it was unveiled to the world.

Results

The redesigned website was far more effective in turning regular visitors into would-be bone marrow and monetary donors. Those who were already members had the ability to involve others in the organization to further grow the donor registry.
