Objectives

As part of Poly Scientific's growth strategy, Blue Fountain Media was recruited to help create a revamped website to meet their increasing consumer demands. Their objective was simple: attract new clients and send existing clients to their website rather than taking orders and inquiries over the telephone.

Methodology

After consulting with Poly Scientific marketing and sales team on their goals for growth, Blue Fountain Media developed a blueprint that would lay-out how we would achieve their objectives. Through our research we discovered that potential clients were growing confused, and frustrated, by the inability to directly and easily find what they were looking for. Rising to the challenge, Blue Fountain Media designed a site that provides the necessary information organized in distinct categories and an easy-to-use content management system to update the site content and products in real time.

Simple flash demos were introduced on the homepage to showcase the company’s use of technology. We also improved the functionality of the browse and search functions to make it easier and quicker for customers to view product listings. By adding a ‘What’s New’ and a ‘Tips/FAQ’ sections, clients were also able to keep up-to-date on new products and quickly find answers to product inquiries.

Results

Not only did the redesign meet and surpass Poly Scientific's objectives but now they have the infrastructure in place to support even greater expansion in the future. Poly Scientific's site redesign achieved the following results within three months of the redesign:

  • An 80% increase in technical and product inquiries
  • 100% increase in conversion rate of reoccurring orders through the site

  • Instant access to client materials and data sheets freed customer service lines and provided enhanced metrics to measure client behavior
