Venture capitalist and business developer, Charles Ehredt, came to Blue Fountain Media with a business plan for an exciting new project: to stream thousands of hours of auto racing videos, at the time unavailable online, to subscribers from around the world. We transformed that business plan into a specifications document, which proved to his investors that this was a serious and worthwhile venture. Goals for the website were to make it the ultimate source of racing news online with a user-generated content area, a community portal, wikis, and hours of racing videos available nowhere else.
Creating the most comprehensive source of racing news, videos, and community online took a lot of planning. On the front-end, the Blue Fountain Media team had to come up with an intuitive menu system and page layouts. On the back-end the development team had to tackle a number of complex issues:
Once planning was through, design could begin. A logo was created for RaceFansTV, followed by website mockups, based on the wireframes created during the planning phase. Each unique page was designed and delivered to our development team, ready to code them in html/css and implement the content management system.
The website was planned, designed, and developed by Blue Fountain Media, with a beta launch in early 2010. Since the launch, the site has been featured in numerous moto racing news websites, including the BBC and NBC.
