Objectives

Leading online spa resource, SpaFinder, turned to Blue Fountain Media to create awareness of their national "Deal Days" program, which offers spa-goers a chance to enjoy $50 spa treatments at participating spas across the country as part of an annual week-long promotion. Blue Fountain Media created a social media campaign to increase awareness for SpaFinder's Deal Days program and increase overall brand awareness on social media websites.

Methodology

Blue Fountain Media developed a comprehensive online strategy for promoting the Deal Days special event. We also designed and built a new landing page specifically for Deal Days that acted as a center-point around which activity was directed.

We sparked an online conversation about SpaFinder and Deal Days, targeting online influencers across the web and encouraging them to link back to the Deal Days landing page.

The influence campaign included:

  • Twitter users with many followers tweeted about Deal Days.
  • Bloggers across the web wrote about Deal Days.
  • SpaFinder profiles and links across the web were updated to promote Deal Days.
  • SpaFinder's Facebook page was remodeled to highlight Deal Days.

Results

  • Word-of-Mouth engagement increased 1,200%.
  • 500% increase in social media influence through Facebook & Twitter.
  • Conversion rates increased from 12% to over 20% with Deal Days landing page redesign.
  • Social media drove over 55 thousand new unique visitors within 2 months at a cost of less than $0.65 per visitor.

 

SpaFinder reached out to customers who had never heard of them. Importantly, these results continue to have value in the future. Most of the followers gained during this campaign continue to follow SpaFinder on Twitter, Facebook, and via e-mail, including key influencers. Key influencers are opinion and thought leaders with many followers of their own and/or popular blogs. SpaFinder has increased mindshare and brand awareness, which will help each subsequent Deal Days campaign.
