Viral Content

What is Viral Content?

Viral content spreads quickly and widely by person-to-person electronic communications. Primarily this refers to video content.

Creating Viral Content

There is no concrete manual on how to create something viral. In most cases, ideas come through after brainstorming on the following:

Know The Audience
Research your audience and know what interests them. Find out what communities they visit and who are the influencers of those communities.

Focus on The Content
Avoid trying to make a video ad. Instead focus on creating content that will educate, engage, and entertain your audience. Try mixing your business content into your viral marketing. Below is a great video by Rand Fishkin discussing the do’s and the don’ts when integrating viral content with business content.

Execute It
Use micro sites, social networks, blogs, and forums to engage with users and promote your video.
